How to turn off background music for specific screens?

I like the new feature, however there needs to be a way to turn off the background music for certain screens, i.e. initial splash screen and assessments.

Hi Lauren, this was a great feature to add. one thing that would be helpful though is a way to choose when the background music begins. As i am uploading courses to an LMS, as soon as the user enters the lesson page the course starts playing. I can pause the timeline/pause the background music when timeline starts so that the user has to click a button to enter the course before the music begins BUT it still starts to play and then stops when the trigger kicks in which is a bit annoying. I want zero sound until the user clicks to enter the course, not .5 seconds of music and then it stops and then starts again when user enters the course

    it would also be so helpful to have greater control over the volume of the background music. even wthough we can turn it down when other audio plays it is I want to be able to turn it down overall and not just when the voice over is happening. i want it very subtle in the background. any ideas?

      we also need a work around for the background music to stop playing when external media is playing like a video i embed from another site

        for this function you need

        • a storyline web object with some Javacript
        • the javascript api of the external video website to get the video event "pause", "play"
        • e.g. Youtube, Vimeo
        • some storyline variables and triggers
