Is there any way to import HTML video files in to Storyline?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Liz! ⭐️

Happy to help here; can you give me an extra clue so I can point you in the right direction?

    • Will you be embedding a video from a website, or is it a published HTML video?

Here's an article that should help you get started in the right direction — Storyline 360: Adding Videos.

Let me know if that's what you had in mind!

    Hi,

I have created a file within Camtasia and added a seekbar with text markers at various points. When saved as an MP4 within Camtasia it doesn't support the seekbar, but when saved as an HTML file it does, so I need to be able to upload that to Storyline or find a way to convert it so that it can be used and the seekbar will function. Alternatively, is there a way to add markers or tabs to the Storyline seekbar - as that's the function I need?

Thank you and to Phil. I'm not really familiar with HTML files and I don't know how to save them in the correct format. Is there any advice you can give me? I've read the article you advised but I'm a bit lost to be honest. The HTML files I have saved are part of an MP4 and will load as a web object but they are just a grey screen.

    Thank you

  • Hi Liz, if you publish from Camtasia to HTML that creates a player that does the interactive bits.

You then need to prepare it so Storyline can embed.

Never seen the Camtasia output, but the HTML file you open to play the video needs to be called index.html (you may need to rename it). Then choose to insert web object and navigate to the folder and press ok, this will bring all the files across.
