Hyperlinks in Marker Text
I'd like to include a hyperlink within my marker text. I've no trouble adding it, but when I view the published slide I'm unable to click the link because the marker text box closes when I roll my mouse over to the link. Any ideas?
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 73, we’ve included important fixes and new features!
One fix we’ve included:
Hyperlinks in marker titles didn't work.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!

Hi Maggie,
If you deactivate the "Show all on hover" option, the user needs to click on the marker to show the details.
That way, you can reach and click the hyperlink. You then have to click again the marker to close it, or click anywhere else.
Is that something that could work for you?
Have a nice day!

I ended up making the marker itself a hyperlink. The marker description text says to click the marker instead of having a separate link.

Nice ! Thanks !
In my opinion, the best and more stable way.
And last but not least... working on all comment browsers; IE, Safari, Firefox and Chrome !! :-)

Had the same problem and took off the 'Show all on Hover' and now it works. Love how the community solves all my problems, thank you!!
Great to hear you found this thread helpful, Benoit! Also thanks for sharing the browsers you tested in. Glad you're a part of this community!

I found this thread as I have a question on hyperlinks within markers. Can you have more than 1 hyperlink? Specifically to other scenes within the presentation?
Hi Scott! Have you considered putting the marker caption on a layer? That way, you can add hotspots over the text to navigate to other scenes in the presentation. Here's a sample of what I mean!

Hi
I have a similar problem with one of my courses. I have a hyperlink within my marker text and the user has to click to open the marker, however the hyperlink doesn't work within the marker but is active if I place it outside.
How do I resolve this?
Hi Sonal,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you're experiencing difficulty with a hyperlink within your marker.
Our team is looking into an issue where hyperlinks in the marker header text area don't work correctly, but hyperlinks within the body text area should work fine. Does this sound like what you are experiencing as well?

Hi Leslie,
My hyperlink is in the marker text box and it doesn't work no matter what I do. The same hyperlink works outside the text box. Screenshot attached for your reference. (the hyperlink is in blue)
Is this something you guys are working on or should it be working?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Hello Sonal,
I cannot see the image you've shared here. Did you reply via email? That does not allow attachments to populate in the forums.
I've created a small sample with a single marker to show you what I described above with Header vs. Body text. You can check the published link here and the project file is attached.
The triggers will also indicate where your hyperlink has been added:
If you still need assistance, I want to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
