Hyperlinks only work with mouse not with touch

Hi,

since the last update the hyperlinks only work with mouse click.

On a touchscreen nothing happens when touching them. Until it wasn´t a problem.

Since we are working a lot with these I don´t want to alter them to single textboxes.

What happened? How can they be made touchable again?

    Hello Everyone! 

    I'm happy to share that we have released a new update for Storyline 360 (Build 3.87.32265.0).

    In this update, we have implemented a fix for:

    • Hyperlinks didn't work on touchscreen devices.

    As a first step, I recommend updating Storyline 360 to the latest version. Here's how:

    Hi Ben,

    Happy to look into this for you!

    I did a quick test using a simple slide with a hyperlink on my iOS mobile device and the hyperlink was able to respond to a tap on the screen. Here's the link that I used for testing.

    I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience: 

    Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!

    Hi Jose,

    thanks for answering.

    We use laptops with touchscreens and Smartboard-TVs, all running on Windows.

    Chrome or Edge dosesn´t make any difference.

    Following your idea of downgrading:

    I had to downgrade to version 3.84.31722.0. Then the hyperlinks worked by touch in preview and export.

    Starting with 3.84.31840.0 only click works, touch does not. Not in preview and not in an export created with this version.

    For me the hyperlinks in your test file do not work by touching.

      Thanks for sharing the extra details!

      Testing the link my teammate Joe provided, on my iOS device, I was unable to observe the same issue. Not to worry! I've opened a support case on your behalf so our support engineers can test the behavior across multiple devices. You're in excellent hands troubleshooting with them and they should be reaching out to you shortly!
