I added a new Matching drag and drop slide and the Question Tool fields are all grayed out.

Hi Debbie,
On a matching drag and drop they'll be shuffled by default, and they're only displayed to you aligned on the slide stage. If you're seeing them not shuffle during preview or publish, we'd want to take a look at your .story file which you can upload here using the "add attachment" button.
