Image and text looks too pixelated when creating for Flashcards in Rise

Hi,

I am trying to create my own images for the flashcard grids in Rise but it's looking too pixelated. I even tried with the size 960px x 960px (which is 10"x 10") as advised from a previous thread but it just comes out too pixelated. What are the actual dimensions for flashcard grids so that i can create a nice smooth fit? why do the images and text come out looking so pixelated? Should i add padding in photoshop to prevent this?

  • Hi there, Babita. We recommend using hi resolution images for any blocks where images are supported. If you are seeing blurry images, try adding _noprocess_ to the image file name and uploading it again.

That tag will opt that image out of file compression when adding it to a block. Let us know if that works!

This didn't work for me, even with the _noprocess_ file name. It seems to only be a problem with flashcards - the no process file name works on all the other areas where images can be added.

        Hello LaurieRosenb278

Thanks for reaching out! We're currently tracking a bug where the uncompressed images do not look sharper within flashcard blocks. I've added your voice to the report. We'll share updates on a fix in this thread so everyone is in the loop!

  • I have the same problem, not only with flashcards. I tried added the noprocess-tag but it did not seem to work. Can you give me an example of how the filename should look like so that it works?

      Hi Solveig,

An image with the file name of car.png would become car_noprocess_.png
