Image Dimensions in Rise
Hello
I've just started using Rise and I have some questions. Is there place that tells me the image dimensions (ie: Image and Text, Image size for the accordion, etc.). My client thinks the font is too small in the image description, so I was going to overlay it on the image, but it keeps cutting it off and I'll be here all day trying to figure out the image size.

I have added to white text to an image in Photoshop and exported as a .png. Wen I upload the image in Rise, the text is no longer white. Any idea why this would be?
@Phil: where did you upload it? If you use it as a cover image there's a contrast setting that will darken the image to work with the title text. That can be set between 10-90% I believe.
If you inserted the image in text on image block/quote you'll see a similar opacity setting- PhilRobinson-62Community Member
@Tom: It was uploaded into an image - full width block. I'm not seeing the contrast setting. Under settings for that block, all I see is padding top and bottom and background color. Currently the background color is set to the default - none.
Can you share the image so we can test it at our end

Thanks Tom I found a solution.

It would perhaps be useful to include some of these tips in the relevant areas in Rise so people don't have to go searching for it...suggested dimensions or ratios for each of the areas you can upload images or other content.

Totally great idea, Nicola! I join on that.
Thanks for submitting your feature request and use-case Nicola :)
Irina, you are welcome to share yours here if needed.

Hi,can you help? I'm trying to use images directly from the library for flash cards on Rise, the images don't adjust to fit the card size.
I have manually adjusted the size to fit, but this doesn't work either?
Can you advise?
Hi Helen,
I'm sorry you've run into trouble here!
What do you mean when you say that you've manually adjusted them and it's still not working? Do you mean that you've exported the images, changed the dimensions and reimported them? If so, what exactly is happening?

Yes, I exported through Storyline and resized using Paint then uploaded
Ok, gotcha! And then what happened?

Hi Allison, I have discovered the images size properly is the image centred option is selected, by not when the full card image is selected
If you select full card image what are you seeing? Can you share screenshots of the images centered vs. full so I can see what's going on?
The Flash card interaction is square (1x1 aspect ratio).
- The choices for images are centered which displays the full image, however, if it is not 1x1 it will have some margins.
- The full card image will fill the entire card. Again, if the image is 1x1 you see everything. If it's a different aspect ratio it will crop from the center and fill the card. The full card can't show the entire image because the flash card itself is square and won't change dimensions.
