Importing Question Banks into Storyline

Hi,

I'm new to Storyline and I'm having trouble importing a question bank of 40 questions which we have been working on and finalised in a word document. I've tried using the word document and an excel file, however an error came up saying 'one or more questions in the provided file were not correctly formatted'. I used a PowerPoint slide which did import successfully but I'm not sure how to then convert the questions into another format such as graded and freeform. Is it possible to import an established bank of questions and then design them in Storyline without having to re-write them or is it easier to start from scratch and copy and paste into a template in Storyline?

Thanks for your advice!

Erika

Love this feature, but I wonder if an update could be done to it.

instead of using an * to denote the correct answer is there a way to either add a column to the left of each answer choice to designate correct or incorrect?  Excel is not the most user friendly for formatting and if you have to do a number of changes to answers, having to go back and find each asterisk can be tedious

  • You can import your questions from an excel sheet very easy. Let me explain this in more detail. Each question in the excel sheet must be formatted correctly or Storyline will not take it. It should tell you which lines are not formatted correctly.

If you like, you can send me the excel sheet and I can look at it, see where the problem may be then delete it.
