Import Template for Questions
I need to create a quiz for a medication exam. I am trying to use the template to import the questions. We have many fill in the blank questions where the learner has to type in the correct answer. The answers are usually numbers and we have to have a variation for the response like 5, 5.0, five that are all acceptable responses. The template gives an error for any FIB in the template that has a number. What is the best way to input these responses into the template or will it not accept numerical answers?

Hi. Do you want to share your file with us? I wasn't able to replicate the issue. I tested it with the attached and it worked. My only issue was the 5.0 changed to 5 in Excel and I didn't notice that so I have two correct "5" answer choices. I think that could be solved by using the '5.0 in Excel so it treats it like text.
I can't seem to get the Excel file to upload. I'll try making a link or I can email it to you. It's the template from Articulate with just the one question.

I had to save as a CSV to attach the file. Some of the questions only have one option. It does not seem to like any of the question with numbers.

Hi SharrilynSchult, you should be getting an error message that FIB questions don't need the asterisk. I updated it (double check the numbers!). When I imported, the error I got was that the SA question is a survey type and cannot have points or an answer, otherwise it looks like it imported. Check scene 2. The ' in front of numbers without the 0 for decimals worked too!
Hope this helps.

I discovered part of my issue.
- For each option of a FIB question they put an asterisks. Not sure if I missed that in the instructions.
- Somehow my subject matter expert had entered another column before the response and SL would not upload since it was looking for an answer in that column.
