Importing quiz into Rise from Storyline

Made changes to quiz question on slide created in Storyline.  Imported quiz into Rise and the same incorrect slide populated.  Is there a disconnect?  Working in Google, not Internet Explorer.

  • Hi Curtis,

Storyline blocks don't automatically update when you republish your course to Review 360. You'll need to open up your Storyline block, browse for the updated publication, and insert it for it to update.

I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Please.... can some help me with Articulate Quiz. I'm trying to attach a articulate quiz with scorm and I need to attach the quiz file in Rise.

      Hi Franciene,

If you are creating your Quiz in Storyline, access Storyline and publish your file to Review 360.

Then go to your Rise course.

Create an Interactive Block and choose the type as Storyline block.

Browse to Review 360 and select the Storyline file you exported to there.

Rise will import your Storyline quiz.

If you working only in Rise, create a Quiz lesson type, and add your quiz questions.

Old response but isn't Quizmaker just a standalone version of the Storyline built in Quiz creation tool?

  • Quick question on this theme..... very new to Articulate here, but if i have created a quiz and results slide (using a question bank) in Storyline, and then i import it into rise - does it keep the same triggers and conditions when in rise? E.g. limiting user attempts?

Just wondering what the point is to add to Rise for most users, and why not just keep it in Storyline?

    Thank you

Hi Tiffany! That is correct; the Storyline 360 interaction's triggers and conditions are maintained when you insert it into a Storyline block in Rise 360. Here is a guide to help you decide whether to use Storyline 360 or Rise 360 when creating courses. If you enjoy creating courses in Rise 360 but need to create a custom interaction, you can create the interaction in Storyline 360 and insert it into your Rise 360 course.

What does need to be done though is, if you use a Continue Section divider in Rise and it is set to "Complete Block directly Above" or if the Storyline block is part of a group of blocks and the divider is set to "Complete All Blocks Above" then the Storyline block needs to have a "Complete Course" trigger applied to it. When you publish the Storyline block to Review make sure the tracking is set to "Using Triggers (e.g 'complete course'). Otherwise the Complete divider will not activate in Rise to be able to move on...
