importing Storyline slide into Rise
Hi there
I'm a newbie just experimenting with stuff and have hit a problem. I have created a single slide in Storyline with some interactions and have imported it into Rise. However, it opens with a black screen player (as in attachment) rather than just the slide itself. I have disabled the menu and controls under player, but cannot for the actual slide, presumably as it has duration ie five seconds. I've tried cutting this duration but it still has a second. One of the videos I watched mentioned disabling controls, and in the example, had exactly what I want, ie a static slide with embedded interactions, so it just looked like an image in Rise. Any advice and thanking you in advance!

Does the slide have video or audio?
Browser settings nowadays typically prevent media from playing automatically. They require the user to click to indicate they want to play the media; that's why you see a black screen with a big Play button.
The usual workaround is to start with a slide without any media, and let the user advance from there.
Hi Judy. thanks for replying. Yes, I had a video clip as a layer, and found something on Youtube with similar problem, so now I have 'cloned' the slide as it were but taken out the video so it is the first slide. This now works! Hurray! It was driving me mad turning off controls everywhere. Anyway, thanks for your response
