Insert equations into questions ... for example multiple choice

In the storyline 3 version for 2018, the utility of inserting tables was annexed and that is very good, my question for the designers is: why was not an equation editor for storyline 3 contemplated ?, that would have been fabulous. For example, the Wondershare QuizCreator software brings its integrated equation editor, why not storyline ?.

I hope this comment is useful.

Sorry for my English.

  • Hello everyone, 🎉

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 97, we’ve included essential fixes and new features. One of the new features we’ve included is:

    • Build math equations using LaTeX syntax and revise them by adding color and alt text, all within Storyline 360.

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Building Math equations has also been released in Rise 360 today!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

  • I found this while searching for a way to add Math into my Storyline course. I would want to type in equations for interactive features as well as in other slides. I know I can import pictures, but that really adds so much time and the "look" just doesn't "feel" right. So, I am adding my voice to those looking for this. I would think that an existing equation editor could be used as an add on, rather than recreating the wheel. Thanks.

  • Hi Beth,

Thank you for reaching out! We do have a feature request for editing mathematical equations in Storyline and Rise, so this is still on our radar. We will be sure to update you with any news should this make it onto our feature roadmap.

  • Is Rise able to render LaTeX within the html block? I need to display inline equations as others have mentioned and if we were able to display the LaTeX code in the html block this would solve many of our requests for a Math editor feature.

      Hi Natashia!

Thanks for the feedback on the type of mathematical support you'd like to see in Rise 360!

LaTeX formulas are not supported natively in Rise 360 yet, but I have seen other community members work around that with the use of Javascript. In the meantime, I'll include your voice in the feature report we are tracking and will provide updates if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.
