Introducing Annotated Screenshots in Review360

We've added Annotated Screenshots to Review 360, which improves how reviewers provide feedback to course authors.

This feature enables reviewers to add annotations directly onto screenshots of course content.

Reviewers can capture images while giving feedback and use various tools to mark them up—including text, boxes, arrows, lines, and freehand drawing. Each annotated image connects to its related comment, making it easier for authors to understand exactly what needs changing.

How to use this feature.

This is currently a beta feature while we collect feedback and monitor usage.

  • Very useful. Indispensable. I sent translated modules (in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, etc.) and invited the proofreaders to use this feature (explaining how to do so in a few words in MY first comment). In this particular case, where I don't understand the meaning of the requested correction at all and I don't read the words/letters that I copy and paste, the comments were much more precise and easier for me to process.

    That’s honestly a fantastic update 👏

Annotated Screenshots are going to make feedback so much clearer for both reviewers and course authors. I’ve often found that written comments alone can be a bit confusing — especially when multiple visual elements are close together.

Being able to mark directly on the screenshot (with arrows or boxes) saves a ton of back-and-forth clarifications. It feels like such a simple addition, but it’s one of those features that really improves the overall collaboration flow in Review 360.

Can’t wait to test this in a real project — it’ll definitely help when working with clients who aren’t always great at describing what they mean in text 😅
