Introducing Quick Share: One-Click Publishing for Everyday Learning
I used QuickShare to send a file to our accessibility team for review. They reported back that the guestbook login screen is inaccessible. I've copied the specifics below. I would like to use the quickshare feature to host a Rise 360 course, but need to verify if this screen is now accessible or if I can make it accessible. Thank you!
| Section | Issue notes | Category | Criterion | Info | Severity | Impact | Most affects people who are/have |
| Guestbook login | For error messages, such as when required fields are left blank, the red error text does not provide sufficient contrast with the white background (3.8:1, should be at least 4.5:1) | Contrast | 1.4.3 – Contrast (Minimum) | 1.4.3 Info | 5 Blocker | People with any visual impairment may not be able to access information or content. | Low vision, Color blindness |
| Guestbook login | Fields that are required are not identified as such. An asterisk or, better, the text "(Required)" should be added to the label. | User Controls | 3.2.2 – On Input | 3.2.2 Info | 4 Critical | All people may trigger an action by accident and some will have difficulty using this content. | Blind, Low vision, Neurodivergent |

Hi SSCCommunicatio,
Sorry to hear that you've run into this setback while accessibility testing Quick Share links in Rise. Allow me to address each error individually:
Guestbook Contrast:
Testing a Quick Share link with our Colour Contrast Checker, did produce a score of 4.57. Which does meet the required WCAG.
Guestbook Required Fields:
I can confirm that we have this behavior logged as a bug in Rise 360. Currently, required Guestbook fields are not labeled as "Required", when a Quick Share initially loads. I've included your voice in the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready.
Thank you for your patience, and I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
