Issue in Storyline 360 with Success/Failure Navigation after Quiz

Hi everyone

I have a problem with an Articulate quiz.

After the quiz, learners are taken to a slide with a button. When they click the button, they should be directed to the Success slide if they achieved at least 80% (for example, all answers correct or only one answer wrong). If they score below 80%, they should be directed to the Failure slide.

However, the link/navigation doesn't seem to work correctly. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

  • sarixlynn: Why don't use a Results slide? When you insert one of those, Storyline automatically includes the triggers that score the quiz and show either the Success or Failure layers. (You can find the User Guide info here.)

The default Results slide includes a lot of text boxes and buttons. However, you can add and/or delete anything. That means you could set up the Success layer to look like your Success slide and the Failure layer to look like your Failure slide.

Another option: remove all the objects from the Results slide, so it's completely blank. Add triggers to immediately redirect to your custom slides. For example, add a trigger to the Success layer that jumps to your Success slide when the timeline starts on the layer. Add a similar trigger on the Failure layer to jump to the Failure slide. (Personally, I think it's easier to simply show what you want on the layers. But this method would work.)
