Issue with PowerPoint Import to Storyline – Lines and Outlines
Hi everyone,
I often start my eLearning lessons in PowerPoint, ensuring that the slide dimensions match Storyline’s. However, when I import the PPT into Storyline, I notice some frustrating issues:
- Pointed Lines and Outlines: Some shapes and objects appear with extra outlines or pointed edges that weren’t present in the original PPT.
- Distorted Dimensions: Even though I set both PPT and Storyline to the same dimensions, elements (especially text and images) sometimes shift or scale incorrectly.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Any best practices or workarounds to ensure a smoother import without these distortions?

Line widths may appear slightly different due to different units of measurement between PowerPoint and Storyline. This might partly explain some of the differences you're seeing when importing PowerPoint content. I can confirm this by testing your PowerPoint file. Would you be willing to share a copy of it here or privately by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
