JAWs Reader is not reading ALT Text

version. I am using IE 10 to open the published HTML file. The JAWs reader is
not reading my ALT text for my images. ...
Hi Lauren, We are still seeing an issue with the alt text on system generated button states. If you create your own button state and add alt text to it, it seems to read fine. If you use a pre-built button state and add alt text to it, it doesn't seem to read.

I'm happy to help! Do you mind sharing what the screen reader will read off instead? Also, which screen reader are you using?
This will make it easier to test the scenario on my end!
