Hi all,
Looks like the original post was from a year ago but I wonder if anyone is interested in creating a new group and/or meeting and being the facilitator? I have expressed interest as well but haven't heard of any updates thus far.

Hi All,
This goes out to all those expressing interested in forming an Articulate Storyline group in the Mpls-St. Paul area.
I use Storyline2 as my primary authoring tool where I work. In Dec I will complete my Master's degree in Training & Performance Improvement. Afterward I would be happy to facilitate or co-facilitate a Storyline group. In the interim, below is an additional option for those located in the Twin Cities Metro area.
The Minnesota chapter of ISPI (International Society for Performance Improvement) has a SIG (Special Interest Group) that meets monthly and uses Storyline 2.
eLearning SIG
Beginning to advanced members meet together to enhance their skills in instructional design and eLearning development in Articulate Storyline by creating online instruction for pro-bono clients.Meets 6:30 - 8:00 PM on the first Thursday of each month, September-May, at:
Brookdale Library
6125 Shingle Creek Parkway
Brooklyn Center, MN
For more information contact Anne Groetsch, argroetsch@charter.netI'm glad there is interest in this group,

Thank you Rob for the resources!
And everyone else for the interest. I'm excited to join as well.
Maybe we could meet at the next SIG meeting to decide how to move forward?

We're still working on getting the group going.
Our biggest issue right now is finding a place to meet. We have probably over 100 people interested in this now.
Hard to find a room that big for free.
Hi Pamela,
Love the library rooms! But also, same thing as I mentioned to Al - you signature is included here.

Both the Brookdale Library in Brooklyn Center and the Southdale Library in Edina have meeting rooms that can seat up to 180 and 195 people, respectively. You can go to the hclib.org website, click on "Meeting Rooms" and find a room to reserve based on the size of your group.

Thanks. :) Do you have to be a resident of the community?
- RachelCraigCommunity Member
Hi, Jerry,
No problem! I believe you don't have to be a resident of the community to rent the room. You just need to provide an e-mail address. Room set up and take down is done by the people using the room, but can be purchased for a small fee. I think AV equipment rental is the same.-Rachel

Are members of the group willing (and able) host meetings at their place of work? That's what other professional organization meetings do that can't afford to rent a meeting space. I work for Graco and we host meetings for other groups here and there. I'd be willing to host here in NE Minneapolis. We don't have room for 100, but we could probably squeeze in 50.

Thanks, Sara. Gave a presentation on Storyline best practices at Graco a few months back and the room was nice. For the first meeting, however, think we might need a bigger room.
Rachel--attended a presentation at the Roseville library a few years back and remember it being really large. Got to check that out.
The room where Tom and David had Articulate Live was nice also. Need to remember where that was.

I'm currently in the process of updating our list of interested user group members. So far we have around 90 names. WONDERFUL!
For many of the people in this thread, I don't have your e-mail addresses. Even a few folks who said they took our survey last year, I'm not seeing their names in the survey data.
So if you are still interested in this user group, or are not sure, and want to be sure you are included, go here to enter just your name and e-mail address and you'll be included.
THANKS!

So glad to see this coming together for your area. Thanks Gerry :)
Also Monika - just wanted to mention that your signature has been included in your reply here. You are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.

I would love to be included on the list! I have recently switched positions and am going to be focusing on creating e-learning for international use. Collaborating with other e-learning users would be fantastic!

We have just sent to our members a recap of our first user group meeting as well as links to the recording of Nicole Legault's great presentation on Articulate 360, among other documents. Look for this in the inbox for the e-mail address that you registered with.
We will be announcing our second user group meeting shortly. It will probably be late February.
If you want to keep informed of the Twin Cities Articulate User Group, join the group by way of the registration link above. Note: You only need to register once. (If you get the e-mail recap then you are registered--no need to register again.)

HI Gerry,
I just joined the group via your link, above. If possible, could you send me the recap from first meeting (and associated links to the Articulate 360 presentation)?
Thanks, and I look forward to meeting folks at the next meeting...
