Jump to next trigger activating when there isn't one

I have a slide that needs to pause the program until the learner is ready to proceed. I have triggers to jump for next and previous. There isn't one for jump when timeline ends and yet it jumps to next slide anyway. Any ideas why this is happening. It is only on one slide. the others work as expected.

  • Yes, I've done that. I've even added 'pause timeline on this slide when timeline ends on this slide'. no good. I'm using the Modern player. This slide is a video.

Update: adding the trigger 'pause timeline on this slide when video completes' fixed the problem. I use all videos in this program. here's the 360 link...

  • Interesting - It does not make sense that you would need that trigger, though.  I wonder if there is something else happening in the file.  Would you be willing to share it?

Even one slide could work. If you want to save as a new file and delete a lot of the slides

final solution: adding the trigger wasn't enough. I also had uncheck show until end and extend the timeline a few seconds. I added a frame capture png of the final frame of the video and imported it as a picture. I added this to the end of the video to extend the timeline by 3 to 5 seconds. It takes a couple of beats for the player to figure out it's reached the end of the video. If you don't add the .png it'll still keep going to the next slide.

  • You will want to confirm that your slide properties are set to advance by user.

This adjustment can be made in StoryView or using the Gear Icon in the bottom right when in Slide View
