Last Published Date Variable

Hello, 

I'm unfamiliar with writing JavaScript, but I wanted to know if it was possible to write JS code to show the last published date in Storyline. I know I can create a variable that shows the current day, but we'd like to show learners the last time a course was updated without having to change it manually each time.
