Layer auto closes in storyline with no trigger

Thanks Gerry, thanks for helping me rule those two things out, it helped me to work it out.

I had a hover trigger on an object on this layer to show a 3rd layer which did have the setting "Hide layer when user hovers out" is selected and I thought it would apply to the hovered, layer, but it instead applied it to the initial layer. Changed the trigger and it worked. Thanks 

Hi Jolynne, One thing to check is that the 'Hide slide layer when timeline finishes' is not checked.

Double click on the layer name and check the setting in the pop-up box. See attachment.
