Layer problems when using the seekbar

I'm also running into this seekbar issue. I used the timeline triggers to activate layers that contain customer knowledge checks during videos to make the video more interactive. The knowledge checks also send the learner back in the video when the learner gives the wrong answer to create some remedial learning.
The problem is, when the learner is sent backwards in the video on the base slide, previous layers are also popping up before the learner can move forward, even if the previous layers triggers are nowhere near the spot on the timeline that the learner is being sent. Is there any fix for this yet? This thread is four years old and has regular comments on it.
