Lesson not showing up when "start course"

I've copied an existing course in Rise and added a new lesson. When I preview it and scroll down (before hitting start course) it shows up, but if I preview and hit "start course" it doesn't show up. However, it shows up when I click the navigation on the left-hand side. I've tried the link in chrome and IE and the same issue pops up. Am I missing something obvious?
