A trigger condition can be based on whether a slide is in the Player or in a lightbox.
Thus, you should be able to disable buttons when the slide is lightboxed.
Be sure to do thorough testing. I can't tell based on your description, but you may also need other triggers to control the buttons.
This is really a great feature. Worked well for my project.
