Lightbox Slides and Audio

Hi all.

I am using lightbox slides on question slides for a person to review the information needed to answer the question.

The slides they are going back to have audio on them.

Is there a way to prevent any audio from playing when the user comes to the slide in "lightbox view."   I know there is a trigger for when slide is lightboxed, but not sure if it will override audio that automatically plays.

Thank you -

Suzanne

  • It sounds to me like you want to prevent audio from playing on a slide when that slide is opened in a lightbox.

The audio shouldn't replay if you have the Slide Properties set to Resume saved state

Another option: add a trigger to the slide that pauses the audio when the timeline starts with the condition that the slide is opened in a lightbox:

  • I think what you are saying/asking is; the learning will listen to some audio then answer a question by clicking on a button that will open a lightbox. The lightbox may have its own audio. Once the lightbox closes, the learner will get to answer the question. If you set the Slide Properties "when revisiting" to "Resume saved state" no audio should play.

  • Thank you, Judy.  Yes, returning to the slide is what I meant.  We didn't have the slide property as "Resume Saved State."  Changing that did the trick.  Take care.

You're welcome! I'm glad you got it working. Pay it forward when you can. 😊
