Likert Scale Question
The sample file that AxelDitter-66bb provided is a nice example of how to collect an answer by using a disguised graded numeric-entry question.
It might not be worth that effort. It depends on what you mean by "I need to be able to grade the questions so that we are able to compare answers at the end."
- Do you only want to show/compare answers for the user within the course?
- Do you only want to have the answers submitted to the LMS/LRS so that they can be looked at?
- Do you need to do both: show/compare answers within the course and have them submitted to the LMS/LRS?
If your answer is #1, use something like the demo in this post: TIP: Track Responses to Custom Questions or Surveys | Articulate - Community
If your answer is #2, use standard Likert Survey slides. If you also include a Survey Results slide, all the answers will be submitted to the LMS/LRS. (How you pull the answers out depends on the LMS.)
If your answer is #3, use disguised numeric-input questions, as AxelDitter-66bb did. That method would submit the answers to the LMS/LRS, as long as you include a Results slide. It would also allow you to show/compare the answers for the user within the course by referencing the numeric variables.
