LMS Learning Plan Requirements

Hello,

I was wondering what a common strategy is for end users as they complete a learning plan.

Is it common to give the user an option to go directly to an exam and skip the actual training lesson?

Our LMS is structured so the use must complete the lesson to then advance to the exam. 

I welcome your thoughts.
