What is the defined width for logo panel size in Storyline currently?

Hi!

An image 200 pixels wide by 220 pixels high works best--if not Storyline will scale: http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/choosing-player-features.aspx

Thank you for the response Gerry!

For those of us who didn't grow up in Photoshop/Illustrator, I have a question on this...
1) Is 400W x 440H going to be just a clear when published?
2) How about 1600W x 1760H?
3) What happens when you mess with the ratio? If I have a 2,198W x 1,312H logo, which I do, will that shrink down and be more "rectangular/horizontal" and look okay or will it be a problem?
Hi Keith! The link that Gerry shared above explains that:
For best results, use an image that is a maximum of 200 pixels wide and 220 pixels high. If your image doesn't fit within those dimensions, Storyline will scale it to fit.
Not knowing what your image 'looks' like makes it hard to determine if the scaling will allow it to look okay. Due to normal company marketing restrictions, you will probably have to make that determination.

Hi Leslie,
I may be mistaken, but I don't think Gerry's link answers the question. Is a 400x440 pixel image that Storyline scales going to look just as clear as a 200x220 image. (I guess it's a technical question on how Storyline scales, etc.)
Thanks,
Keith
Hi Keith,
Any image that has to be scaled down may lose some overall clarity - but defining "looking ok" will depend on the image. If it's very detailed, making the image about half the size will lose the ability to see some of the detail. If it's a fairly simple design, I bet the user won't notice a difference in clarity. I personally like to test it out and go from there.

Thanks Ashley! I knew that scaling an image up would cause resolution/clarity problems. I just wasn't aware that scaling a picture down would cause the same issues.
No problem Keith, and please let us know if you need anything else.

Does the height really matter? It seems that the logo panel expands to whatever height you choose, but narrows/widens the width to 200.
The width is set based on the sidebar, so we do recommend a 200 x 220 image, or else Storyline will scale it to fit as detailed here.
