Scrolling Panel Weird Issue
I have the most amazing issue that I'm not being able to solve.
I created an agent with Mistral platform which is just a character for a simulation.
Now I'm bringing the character inside the storyline and everything worked like a charm.
Since it was the first time I was trying to do this, I tried to do it in a separate storyline file and it worked perfectly.
Created the variables and a scroll panel to get the chat inside and the panel scroll as the conversation get's longer. In this file, everything works perfectly.
When I try to do it in the file that has my full course, the scroll panel doesn't work.
Instead of scrolling, the text gets smaller and smaller as the messages come from the AI agent.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, since I've done exactly the same steps on both storyline files.
Can anyone help, please.
Attach both files.
The issue is on slide 1.2 ScreeningSam from the file:
MRI_Final.story
Just interact with the ai and see how one works and the other doesn't.
Maybe I'm missing something simple, but I can't see it.
Here are the Format Shape>Text Box settings for the text box that holds the chat in the MRI_Samanthat_Memory_configured_01.story:
Here are the settings in the MRI_Final.story:
Very weird, since at least one of the Autofit options should be selected by default. But I'm guessing that if you upgrade the project text, and make the settings match what's in the original version, it'll work.

Any new Story in Storyline automatically has the project text upgraded (that was not always the case). So your MRI_Final Story does not. You can right click any Text box, choose Format Shape, then Text box to see the Updgraded Text Features. If the text has not been upgraded, there will be an option to upgrade.

Thank you very much.
I didn't even new about the existence of these settings for the text boxes... Thank you very much.
Just one more thing that maybe you can help.
As you might have seen I getting answers from an external AI bot but I'm not getting how to make the text box scroll automatically and the manual scroll to see the answers doesn't fell very automated.
Do you have any idea on how to do that?
Thank you again- JudyNolletSuper Hero
JoseAGomes : I didn't preview your course. Since the issue was text auto-shrinking, I immediately looked at the Text Box settings.
I rarely use scrolling panels. My best guess is that you'd need JavaScript to make it scroll automatically as the "chat" continues.
Try searching the community; there may already be a discussion about that. If not, I suggest you start a new discussion, since it's a new topic.

Looks like I started writing my answer before RonPrice finished his, because there were no replies when I opened the discussion. Well, I feel better knowing my answer has the same solution as his. 😊
