Mac M1 With Parallels: Articulate Storyline is Blurry
Hello everyone,
I am hoping someone will have an answer for me as this has been driving me crazy. I have a Mac with an M1 chip with high screen resolution. I downloaded Parallels so I could run Articulate Storyline. However, whenever I open the app, everything is blurry.
I have tried everything I know to do: I changed the hardware settings to scaled versus Best for Retina Display and it was still blurry. I have changed the scaling and screen resolution with no success. Is there anyone out there who knows how to fix this?
It's hard to quality check my course when the graphics are so blurry. I have attached a screenshot for reference.
Hi John,
I have tried everything in this article with no luck.

Hi Morgan,
I found this article that has some resources for Using Articulate Software on a Mac with Parallels Desktop.
I also did some searching in some Parallels forums. Here's the link.

About halfway down the page, there are some posts that might give some insight into why the blurriness is happening.
I hope this helps you out.

all other apps are crisp and sharp. only articulate ist totally blurred. a pain in the eye. any plans on that?....
Hello NatasaVizin,
Great call using a display with no Retina resolution, as we've found this to be a helpful best practice for a Windows virtual machine!
I did want to mention that the optimal display settings in your Windows environment are 1920x1080 resolution and 100% scale and layout. Here’s a guide on accessing your display settings in Windows.
If you have any other questions or you're experiencing something different after checking your settings, feel free to share a screen recording of this behavior in this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Dirty Workaround: I moved artiuclate with the parallels-Windows on an old screen with no retina! Voila - now everything looks as blurry as 20 years ago! cool! lol.
