Mac V PC for new account.
Hello,
Two issues:
- Performance
- Compliance
1. I'm about to purchase a license for Articulate. I'm currently using a maxed-out (RAM and processor) 2018 MacBook Pro. I've used Macs exclusively in my career, but am concerned that I don't have enough muscle remaining to run Articulate on a virtual machine. Will the software run well enough to do solid eLearning dev on this machine, or should I pick up a Dell gaming laptop to get up and running?
2. Not ready to buy a new Mac but will be in the coming year. Will running it on two different machines be a license issue moving forward or can I transfer it later?
Thank you!
Hello Burnie,
Allow me to address each of your inquiries individually!
- As long as the Windows environment you have provisioned in your 2018 MacBook Pro meets the minimum system requirements needed to run Storyline 360, then you should be good to go. I myself am using a 2019 model MacBook Pro and I am still able to run Storyline 360 using Parallels without any issues.
- You can be signed in to Articulate 360 on up to two computers at a time, so working on two different machines is perfectly fine!
Let me know if you need anything else!
