Main Menu Keeps Minimizing

Hello.

 

Ever since the latest updates for Storyline 360, I find that the Main Menu keeps minimizing.

For example, when I start a new course and go into a scene, the Main Menu just minimizes and I need to keep unchecking 'minimize the ribbon'. Same when I'm previewing a slide, the main menu minimizes and i need to keep unchecking the 'minimize the ribbon'

I like having the menu there at all times. Is this a simple fix?

    Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear you've run into this unexpected behavior when working in Storyline after upgrading to Update 97. 

    • You mentioned you experienced this in a new .story file. Do you also experience this if you open courses you've previously worked on?
    • If you click on any of the other tabs in the ribbon, do you experience any change to the behavior you are experiencing?

    As a first step, I recommend a repair of Storyline 360. Sometimes, a quick repair will fix some erratic behavior!

    Please let us know if you're still encountering this issue with the ribbon automatically minimized after the repair. You can share a screen recording of this behavior in this thread or privately in a support case so we can take a closer look and continue troubleshooting this with you.
