Make an Storyline template from a PowerPoint
I haven't been able to make a template be a copy of a PowerPoint template, other than making a bunch of JPG's for formatting different backgrounds. This is quite tiresome and doesn't give me full template capabilities. Please let me know how to do this.
Thanks,
Janean
When you import the PowerPoint file into Storyline, you should also import the master template settings such as layouts, theme colors, and fonts.
Once it's in Storyline, it's a Storyline file. If you save as a storyline template, then it will be a template available to you in the template folder.
If you want to share a PPT file, I can look at it and offer more specific tips.- JaneanTimberCommunity Member
Hi, I would like to import this slide design into Storyline to use as needed.
I still don't see how to just import it.
Thanks,
Janean
Hi Janean,
Thanks for reaching out!
Are you encountering issues when importing PowerPoint content into a Storyline 360 project? If so, you can check out this article which contains some tips on how to import PowerPoint content into your project:
Note that not all PowerPoint features are supported in Storyline 360, and the article above lists which ones can be imported. If you're encountering behavior that is not covered in the article, would you mind sharing a sample PowerPoint file here or in private through a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening?

Hi Joe,
I would like to import that template and others so that they show up under the Design section such that I can choose which one I want, or change one when working on a course. Thanks,
Janean

Hi Janean,
Having that as an option would be great, but the Design tab in both PowerPoint and Storyline isn't programmed to be editable in that way.
If there's anything else you need, please reach out again!
