Making Text-Heavy Content easier to consume
Hey, everyone. I am using Articulate Storyline 3 to develop an onboarding online course that is built like a scavenger hunt. For each item the learner must find, they are provided with multiple "lifelines" where they can look for the answers if they don't know them (most of the information is on our company intranet - which is ginormous because we have over 500,000 employees at our company).
However, there is one piece of information that is not published electronically anywhere. Rather, it's posted on the walls throughout the department for which I am developing this eLearning. So, I am going to need to include this very text-heavy piece in the eLearning as part of the introduction.
I have been trying to stay away from including text heavy materials in the eLearning. My goal is to have the learner interacting with the eLearning at least once every 1.5 to 2 minutes - so if they have to spend time reading 7 wordy tenets - that goes against this goal, and I am concerned I will lose their interest.
Any ideas? I have considered embedding a VideoScribe or Vyond video on the learning where the tenets are written on a whiteboard, but that still feels like passive rather than active learning.

Opton 1: Get a good photo of the tenets as written on the whiteboard. Insert it into the course at an appropriate location, add the Zoom feature, and reduce the size of the image. Users would have to click the image to enlarge it and read the tenets. It's up to you whether/how to provide a hint that that's what they need to do. :-)
Option 2: Put the tenets in a PDF and attach that file to course Resources. The PDF could even explain where they can find that info in person. Then, the course could point users toward the attachment when they might need it.
- Jumble up the tenets so they have to reconstruct them - like the old 15 puzzles (see image)

Ooh the google translate option is fun!!! I'm struggling with this as well with a current client. Very wordy.
