Marker is not showing text box
Hello,
I want to add a marker to an image and have a text box with information pop up when a user clicks the marker. When I add the marker the text box does not appear.
I thought the text box was supposed to automatically appear when you place a marker.
Am I doing something wrong?
Did I miss a step?
Can't you add markers to any image?

It's in Storyline 3 that I encountered this bug.

Hi, Did anyone solve this? I keep getting the same thing. Previously added markers are working fine, then out of nowhere when i want to edit the text, i click on it and the label isn't showing at all. The format label info is not even in the tool bar at the top. However when i preview the slide the marker is working fine!!
Picture attached showing the marker is selected but no label to be seen - and no label info in toolbar).
I'm using storyline 360.
(Quick update - I've copy and pasted the marker and now it seems to be working ok...weird.)
Oh no, Lucy! Glad to hear that it's working as expected now. Just let us know if you run into anymore weirdness and we'd be glad to help 😊

This issue persists. But I was able to resolve it by closing and reopening Storyline.

Hello,
I have the same problem as Lucy where the markers randomly don't let you edit the content or the content disappears when you click the marker.
The only thing that has fixed it for me is to save, close storyline project and reopen again.
This bug needs to be fixed permanently for all storyline users. We shouldnt have to close and reopen storyline to see marker content. Just like the others, there is no setting we have set for these markers, nor is it "user error".Hi Julia,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue. We're not seeing this behavior reported by majority of our users so there's a chance that this is specific to certain files or installations. As a troubleshooting step, try repairing your Storyline 360 installation to see if this fixes the marker behavior. You'll also want to make sure that you're working locally when making changes to your markers.
If the issue persists, please open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening.
