Maximum number of states
Hi Everyone,
What is the maximum number of states an object can have?
Will having a large number of states cause performance issues?
Thank you,
John

Someplace there is probably some sort of theoretical limit to the number of states, but I'm pretty sure it allows a lot more states than is practical to use. :)
It seems likely that when a slide loads, all the states of all the objects need to preload. At some point, I would think loading hundreds of objects would have an affect on performance, whether they were individual objects, or state objects.

I have created image objects with more >100 states and it worked just fine.

I currently have an object with 101 states and a timeout spinner appears in the last state box. The spinner won't vanish and Storyline returns an error dialog when publishing the project. It works nicely if I delete a single state.
Anyone's guess!
