I've created a Menu layer in almost all my slides

Best guess about what's wrong: the trigger to hide the layer comes after the trigger to jump to another slide. The program can't run a trigger if it's already left the slide. So be sure the hide-layer trigger comes before the jump-to-slide trigger.
If that's not the problem, then I suggest you upload a copy of the .story file for troubleshooting.
- Include only the slides involved in the issue.
- Change any proprietary text to bogus text (e.g., "ipsum lorem," "yada yada yada," or whatever).
