Mod Security stopping course from playing

I've got a site hosted with HostGator with a single RISE course for sale. I keep getting disable mod security when I try to play the course.

I'm getting conflicting answers from hostgator saying they can't on a shared hosting plan but can or can't on a business plan.

Is there anything else I can do other than what we're tried to alter the CPanel files?
