Monthly Subscription to Storyline?

I was a very early adopter of Articulate many years ago, when it was essentially little more than a PowerPoint add on. Later, I introduced Storyline to my organization and promoted its adoption to my org, which grew to over 55,000 employees.  In short, I've loved the products and the community and promoted Articulate sales and adoption for many years.

I am fed up, however, with the lack of a reasonably priced monthly option. I'm seriously considering just relying on other apps (I have many but I prefer Articulate for many projects). I agree with the earlier post - orgs that are budget conscious pressure their developers into less adequate tools because of cost, and independent contractors are driven to other tools because of start up cost considerations.

I've admired Articulate, its designers and its business model for years. It's hard to express my disappointment with some of these decisions recently.

Enough already. You're better....more responsive....than this. The community has spoken out on this for years now. Why is no one listening?
