Moving Dial with Hovering over Item

Hi all!

I created a menu with five planets and one rocket as a dial. I wish to move the dial when hovering over one of the planets to the hovered item, like navigating the rocket to the planet. When you click the planet you get directed to the chapter. Do you have an ideas? You can find my project attached.

Thank you,

Tanja

  • Hi, Tanja.

Thank you for sharing the .story file!

Is there a specific reason why you want to use a Dial? I saw that it was hidden on your timeline, so I believe you don't want the look of it, just the functionality, correct?

Can you, instead, add states to the rocket that point to the specific planets? You can then add triggers that change the state of the rocket as the user hovers over the different planets:

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Maria,

thank you for the hint with the different states. I tried it before but could not rotate the rocket illustration. The field in the menu is grayed out. How did you do it?

  • Hi, Tanja.

The trick is to re-insert the picture in that new state (you can cut and paste using Ctrl+X and Ctrl-V). Here's a 30 second Peek 360 recording showing you how I did this.

Let me know if this works!
