I'm probably too late to help Ryan but others that may encounter this, here is a workaround to avoid having to re-record the screen cast.
There are two options depending on your requirements.
- Remove all audio
- Go to the slide that has the video on it
- Click on the video in the timeline
- From the Ribbon click 'Edit Video'
- This brings up the edit video window
- Click 'Volume'
- A volume slider appears, drag it down to -100
- You should now have no audio in the published video.
- Remove All Audio - Replace Voice Over
- From the Story View click 'Record Screen'
- Click the screencast you wish to edit
- The Insert Slides window opens
- Right Click on the image of the screencast
- Choose 'Export Movie'
- This exports the movie to MP4
- Record the Voice over
- Bring the voice over file and the MP4 into a video editing program
- Sync the audio to the video
- Mute the original audio on the video
- Export the MP4 and replace the video on you timeline with the newly imported video.
I hope this helps someone. Instructions are for Storyline 1.
