Screen recordings
Hi, I'm trying to resolve an annoying glitch in my screen recordings. On several of the screens I've add a highlighted area to show something on the screen but when I move on to the next screen the highlight flashes on that screen too, for a split second. I've tried everything I can think of but I can't get rid of it. Any ideas would really help.
thanks
Hi spinningman101!
Sorry to hear you've run into this setback with screen recordings from Storyline!
Glad to see Kendal has been helping you. I have some follow-up questions to help me understand your setup a little better:
- Are you authoring with locally stored .story files? Working off of a network, or shared drive can sometimes introduce erratic behavior and latency.
- Are you working with a single, or multi-monitor display?
- Does performing a repair of your Storyline installation help to improve the issue?
If you're still having trouble, we'd be happy to take a look at the problematic .story files. Feel free to upload a copy here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi there.
One idea is to make sure you have updated to the latest version of Storyline. Storyline recently had a glitch in its screen recordings where a user would go from Slide A to Slide B and then receive a quick flash of Slide A again before finally settling on Slide B. Perhaps this is the glitch that you are seeing. A recent update to Storyline appears to have fixed this.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked and it looks like I have the most up to date version. No updates pending.
