My timeline is missing

Try selecting View > Redock All Windows.

That did it. Not sure why but I know you are brilliant

The timeline is a detachable/dockable panel. You probably grabbed the timeline inadvertently and dragged it off screen somewhere.

What did not work for you? Is your timeline missing as the user stated here? Do you have a screenshot so that we can understand what you are seeing?
