No accessibility with a screen reader when reading the header levels (H1, H2, H3 and so on) with Storyline 360
Hi C B!
Thank you for sharing all of these details with us! I've tested this on my end using NVDA and viewing the course in Chrome, and I could access the headings using the "H" key.
Since you've already performed troubleshooting steps, it would be helpful if we could look at your .story file on our end. Would you mind sharing the .story file in this discussion or privately in a support case?
Again, thank you for sharing what you've tried so far!

I am having the same issue. The screen reader isn't saying "Heading Level 2" even though I definitely have the correct H2 style applied. How was this resolved? It's very frustrating.

Hi MaryHancock,
I understand you're experiencing an issue with the screen reader not reading the headline. I'm happy to help figure out what's happening, and I'd like to ask a few clarifying questions to help me better understand.
- What screen reader are you using? You may want to check you're using the most current version.
- Have you tried importing your slides into a new Storyline project?
- If you create a new text box and assign it a heading style, does that do the trick?
It would also be helpful to test your .Story file, or see a screen recording of the issue. You can upload those here, or share them privately in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete!
