Non-breaking spaces in Rise?
Hi. Is it possible to insert a non-breaking space into a lesson name (or elsewhere)?
I have a lesson whose name ends with "...Session 3". When viewing the course, the 3 wraps to the 2nd line in the contents pane on the left, as shown in the shot.
Hi there, Christine. On Windows keyboards with a number pad, you can use
Alt+0160to add non-breaking spaces to your Rise 360 text, including course and lesson titles. Yay!For now, it's not a feature that works with Mac OS. We'll let you know if that changes.

I also did a quick test, and non-breaking space looks to be working fine now.

Thank you ArithHsu for this tipp! As the underscore is wider than a normal space, i tried it with "." and this worked perfectly fine!
I would however prefer if Articulate did offer a solution on this, as the translation service will be confused if we send things like "z..B." or "10.min" into translation...- CraigHaddenCommunity Member
To insert a non-breaking space, please see my comment that's below the solution from Crystal.

This issue is still high on our wish list as well. Posting this comment to receive a notification when (or if) this is fixed... This should be a basic feature in typography.

Maybe this issue comes and goes but for me,
on February 2nd 2026,
with Edge under Windows 11,
editing a text in Rise 360,
pressing the Alt key,
typing 0160 on the num pad (yes, yes, the numeric pad) and releasing the Alt key
does not insert a non-breaking space
but a regular one that breaks.
The workaround's workaround here is to do that elsewhere, in Notepad ++ or in your word processor: there you get a non-breaking space that you can copy and paste in Rise. And that works, mysteriously...
