Number of characters in the word document for traslation

Dear all, we need to know the number of characters included in a module. In the word document exported for translation, there is a line in the first table that includes this information (see row below), but we need to know if the number of characters is without spaces. Could you please confirm? It is very important for us to know it because the budget for the project needs to be calculated.
