Object Conditions
I want to set a trigger condition based on an object state, but whenever I try to select Objects, from the Conditions drop-down, Storyline crashes. Any insights?
Hello Everyone! ✨
I'm happy to share that we have released a new update for Storyline 360 (Build 3.74.30180.0)
In this update, we have implemented a fix for:
- Storyline 360 crashing when adding conditions to triggers or publishing to Word.
As a first step, I recommend updating Storyline 360 to the latest version. Here's how:
If you have any questions, please let us know in this thread or privately in a support case.
Have a great day!

I was also told because they can not reproduce it it is not an issue, they suggested uninstalling and reinstalling Storyline, which I did, same thing. This is really annoying and considering this is a topic on several forum questions, it is quite obvious this is an Articulate issue. The questions is, are they ever going to do anything about it considering it has been an ongoing issue for a year now?

I am also having this issue, and I have been dealing with it for a while. I submit an error report every time it happens, but I have not seen a fix yet. I'd be willing to jump on an online meeting with someone to share my screen and let him or her see it happen live if that would help. It would nice to know if Articulate is working on addressing the issue.

Our entire department continues to have this same problem for months now. It happens EVERY TIME and on EVERY SL file, any time we click on Conditions>Objects. We have installed all the latest updates for SL 360.

I've had that issue for some time, but because Articulate's engineers are incapable of reproducing it, to them it doesn't exist. The bug has been around for almost a year now:

Hi Cindy, which Storyline version are you on? Have you applied all of the latest updates (3.42.22792.0). Also, is this an issue that occurs with every Storyline file, or limited to just one file?

Hi Sam,
I have installed the latest updates. I'm finding this issue on all SL files. I've tried the uninstall/reboot/install procedure, with no results.
Cheers,

Has anyone gotten this resolved?

I have an open ticket with the same issue, there is no solution. You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select the other options without the program crashing.

I am beyond frustrated with this, but I am relieved to see that it isn't me. Every single time I try to create a trigger with a condition other than a variable, I get shut down. I have to creatively think of others ways to get where I want to get, but it often involves creating several steps that could be solved if the trigger worked correctly.

Lisa, if you use your arrow keys instead of your mouse to move from one to the next you can get around that way without crashing. Super annoying, especially if you forget and end up getting crashed. Save often!
