Offline mobile use for a module

Hi all,

I have created a learning module in Storyline 360, it functions wonderfully on a PC and with an internet connection. I need an option for offline mobile viewing as well. This module does not contain any quizzes, or other items that require tracking. What is the best way to publish/convert the published file to work offline and on a mobile device?

Thanks,

Danielle

  • Hi Danielle, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!

Good news: you can publish a course for offline mobile viewing!

You will want to publish your course with the CD option. Here are simple instructions on how to do that.

Your course is automatically optimized for mobile viewing, but if you want to see how it will behave on a mobile device, click "Preview" in the Home tab. You can click on the different device icons on the top right to see how the course will appear on various devices.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Thanks, Andrea. This is what we have been doing and it runs fine off a PC but when we try on Android or Apple it opens a blank browser and does not work. Any suggestions there?

  • Hi, Danielle.

Thank you for the additional information!

We’ve made changes to offline viewing since the removal of Flash. With that, there actually isn’t a way to view a course offline when publishing to CD unless you’re on a Windows machine.

What you're experiencing on mobile devices is the expected behavior.

Let me know if you have additional questions!

Hi Maria, one of our customer wants to view the course offline in Android or Apple and in a very critical situation.

When this can be resolved or suggest if there is any other way.

Because losing a feature because of Flash removal seems crazy.
