Open Ended Questions
Hi
I have not found a way to capture the answers to open ended questions in Rise 360. The Knowledge Check has the question type option but Knowledge Checks don't capture the answers and the questions are not scored. The Quiz option does not have an open ended question type option. I have not seen this question option and capture in Storyline.
Any suggestions?

Please add me to the list as well. Open-ended questions and any other available question types/results would help immensely! (likert scales, file uploads for user answers, etc.)

Hi, please add me to the list as well. Open-ended questions would be best feature when it comes to the training materials I create. Fingers crossed for it to be delivered soon!
Thanks for sharing your interest in this feature, izaoles.
I've added your voice to the request for open-ended questions in Rise 360. We understand how valuable this capability would be for a variety of training scenarios, and we're continuing to track customer feedback around this need.
We'll share any updates here if there's news to report.

I would like to be added as well. I'm currently working on a workaround to make this function happen.
Hi nikee3057,
Do you mind sharing more details on how you and your team are working around this limitation?
Also, I’d like to highlight our new Rise 360: Labs feature, called Survey Block. This Block supports open-text fields, allowing learners to submit short and long responses.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!

StevenBenassi Hello! I did find the survey block and created a survey in the last course (using Rise360), which is part of a learning path in Reach 360. I'm using it to gauge overall satisfaction with the entire learning path's content as well as asking them to provide any feedback they have. The block is very black and white. Not very customizable; for example, black and white sad to happy faces for a 5 pt scale, but that's the option I have to use to be able to customize the label of each point 1-5. My other issue is that the info from both of those uses doesn't seem to flow into a report in Reach 360.
A seperate problem is not being able to use quizzes as a pre-test (before the educational content is taken by the learner) and also as a post-test (after the learner has been through the educational content) to gauge knowledge gain. The report will only track one or the other, not both. This will cause a lot of manual work.
