PLAY button at the beginning of course (in preview and production)
Has there been an update in Articulate that is causing the play button to appear at the beginning of a course? I've seen some older (5 years or more) discussions about this and tried work arounds that those suggested, but it is not solving the problem. I do not want this screen/button to appear and I do not have audio/video on my first slide. There is audio/video on other slides. How can I get this screen/button to go away? (The screenshot shows what it looks like when I preview the course in Storyline.)
Hi Everyone!
I'm happy to share that we just released Storyline 360 (Build 3.83.31444.0) which includes the fix for the bug where a play button shows even if there is no media file on the first slide and there is a closed caption file.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app to take advantage of the newest bug fixes and features!

Thank you so much, Luciana. We have had this issue with the black slide/play button on mobile devices and we don't LOVE it, but just figured it was a "mobile device only issue." But now that it's happening on desktop, too, we're freaking out a little. User experience will go downhill when they have to click things multiple times to get to the very important info we're trying to share. Thanks again.

I'm also experiencing this issue and would love a fix asap as we have a roll out next week. Thank you!
Hello All,
I'm sorry to hear that you ran into this issue as well.
We're still working on fixing the issue, but a workaround that we've identified is to downgrade Storyline 360 to Update 81 where we can confirm that the behavior is not occurring. This post is already included in the bug report, so we'll be sure to leave a message here as soon as we have any new updates to share regarding the availability of the fix!
